How the Honnold Foundation saved time and achieved a global reach

Famous rock climber Alex Honnold founded the Honnold Foundation in 2012 to increase access to solar energy for grassroots organizations around the world. To help manage a huge influx of applications from around the world, Kate Trujillo, director of programs at the Honnold Foundation, turned to Submittable.

Before Submittable, The Honnold Foundation’s small review team had to process each application as a PDF attachment to an email. As she set her sights on continuing to expand globally, Kate knew she needed a solution that could accommodate a large number of applications from all over the world from applicants with varying degrees of English proficiency.
